Cazak

She said yes.

There I had been, feeling awkward and inadequate and like a total ass, and I’d actually asked Sybil if I could kiss her. It was a lame, newbie type of move, or so Jalok would have said.

But it had just felt right, like the right thing to say, and Sybil had said yes. Yes, she didn’t mind kissing me, even with my scarred face. Even though I was an alien, and she was likely condemning herself to ridicule and prejudice just by being with me.

The feel of her full, soft lips against my own still glowed in my memory as I sat there in a chair watching Sybil sleep. I think, in a lot of ways, I was still high on that first kiss even though we went much, much further.

I was going to have to apologize to Jalok for all of the hard times I gave him over having a human girlfriend. For that matter, I owed an apology to Sk’lar, too, but he was such a tight ass I wasn’t about to offer it.

The memory of her skin sliding against my own was one that I would always treasure. Thank goodness our bodies were sexually compatible. Sybil certainly hadn’t been the least bit afraid of my cock, that was for certain.

Sybil’s body was every bit as soft as it appeared, and I remember thinking how lucky I was that I’d gotten to experience it. Never in a million years would I have believed that a lovely woman like her would ever let a scarred up old soldier like me even touch her, but truth is stranger than fiction, sometimes.

Sybil rolled over onto her side, a bit of her dark hair hanging over her face, and snored softly. Carefully, with great gentleness, I reached out and lifted the hair away from her sleeping eyes so I could still see her loveliness. Her warm breath tickled the back of my hand when I moved near her nostrils. My eyes ran over the curves of her body, ill-concealed beneath the thin silk sheet draped over her naked form.

I returned to my seat and kept watching her sleep. If I’d have heard someone describe doing such to me, I would have thought they were a total creep, but now I understood the feeling. It wasn’t about dominance or control, but about trust. Sybil trusted me enough to be totally vulnerable to me. Her slumber proved that she believed I was a good man, not someone who would ever hurt her.

My jaw set hard. I wouldn’t ever hurt her, or allow her to be hurt. Something flashed through my mind, a thought that if the Ancient Enemies took over one of our minds I might be forced to cause her harm, but I refused to consider it. If there were any way possible to resist the Ancient Enemies, I resolved to do it.

The sound of the front door opening made me start. So soon after thinking about mental possessions by incorporeal beings, I suppose I was on high alert.
